Artists do their part to improve quality of education - Ben Cabrera, Anita Magsaysay-Ho, Romulo Galicano, Mauro Malang Santos, Ang Kiu Kok, and Federico Alcuaz are among prominent Filipino master artists who have committed to support fund-raising efforts to sustain the Center of Excellence in Public Elementary Education or CENTEX.

The focus of this campaign is a highly-collectible, square porcelain plate with an image donated by a well-known art figure. With corporate donors and many individuals supporting this project, this project promulgates education as a potent tool to alleviate poverty.

2nd year na ako ngayon sa pisay... ang hirap dito... pressured kami masyado... Back when I was in CENTEX, homeworks, quizzes, tests, and projects pile up on me everyday. It''s so stressing, tiring, exhausting. Thankfully, the lessons were relatively easy. Now that I''m in high school, I already learned how to cope up with pressure. Lessons were harder, but still manageable. Sometimes I envy my classmates who came from grade schools were they weren''t pressured that much. Thankfully, all those pressure CENTEX gave me trained me on how to cope up with Pisay pressure. may peer pressure. may pressure na iskolar kami ng bayan. may pressure dahil ng parents'' expectations. may pressure dahil ng grades. "Artists do their part to improve quality of education." When I read this, I remembered my physics teacher who lectured us about the meaning of being a student. Students are people who succeed in doing their part. I''m not really sure if that''s what he said cause I wasn''t listening to him that time. ang saya pala ng high school. may mga tao akong nakikilala na di ko ineexpect. i will never forget the memories that we had in my former school,, CENTEX... sana,,, bumalik ulit ung mga masasayang happening''s namin sa centex... and ofcourse, with our broyhers and sisters in mainla... salamat po para sa lahat ng mga ginawa ninyo 4 us.... napaka swerte namin kc po,nakapasok kmi sa centex...Ngayong 2nd year na ako sa SBCA,, nd ko pa din makaklimutan ang dati kong mga kaibigan, teachers at mga magulang na noon ay tumutulong samin sa school,, sana po ay pa2loy nyo pang suportahan ang ibang bata para makapag aral sa isang school na ka2lad ng centex... It's been 7 years since I entered CENTEX Manila and it's a great privilege for me to be one of their students, because they taught me how to mingle with other people while I’m still young. Being a CENTEX child helped me to become smart and responsible in everything that I do, especially in making decisions that made my parents proud. I'm thankful that we have a foundation like CENTEX who helps children like me to become well educated. Thank you CENTEX!

i am just a fan of this school because its such a great thing to be able to help other people especially children like these very talented and really eager to learn.. I can see it in their eyes that they are smart and very hard working..God is so happy for sure to be able to see people reaching out to these kids...I am blessed to see many hands helping the children fulfill their dreams and ambitions. I hope tha someday i can visit ur school and be able to meet the kids...More power to CENTEX!! cheers!!
