28-Nov-2007 Centex Manila is finalist in “Idol Ka Kid” spelling quiz bee
Two students from CENTEX Manila recently made it to the NCR-wide finals of the “Idol Ka Kid” Spelling Quiz Bee.
Out of 12 contestants from both private and public schools in the NCR region, CENTEX Manila students Joemel Ann Tanudra, Grade 2, and Alyssa Andrei Ramos, Grade 3, were the only two contestants who survived cluster 2’s semifinal round on November 17. The final round was held on November 24.
The contest was patterned after the Scripps National Spelling Contest in the United States. Merriam-Webster, Cecon, and Enchanted Kingdom sponsored the event.
