8-Jan-2009 CENTEX Batangas Wins MTAP
Centex Math contestants championed the District Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge held in Bauan East Central School last January 8.
Winners were: Arnel Agulo, Angelo Bautista, and Lance William Macuha, (Grade 1); Ranver Castillo, Edward Joseph Medrano, and Matthew Mendoza (Grade 2); George Bryan Adame, Jules Clark Villanueva, and Nichole Elisa Stephanie Soliman (Grade 3); Rodden Jose de Chavez, Justine Mae Magnaye, and Maryrose Lizette Reyes (Grade 4); John Ellies Dimalibot, Raymond Mananap, and John Macneil Mendoza (Grade 5); and Sharmaine Austria, Azie Calinao, and Kreziah de Villa (Grade 6).
Constant review with their coaches and daily challenging Math problems and activities contributed to the victory of the students. Teachers who trained them were Teacher Riza Yarte (Grade 1), Teacher Liezl Abrea (Grade 2), Teacher Ivy Fabellon (Grade 3), Teacher Mary Jane Abila (Grade 4), Teacher Lezil Frogosa (Grade 4), and Teacher Laila Panopio (Grade 6).
